“Handmaids' Tale Scene” (2022)
As the director, I selected and adapted a segment from “The Handmaid's Tale”. I used changes in the aspect ratio and color of the frame to convey the story's emotions.
“The Pather” (2023)
As the director and cinematographer, I shot this short film using the Arri SR2 Super 16mm Motion Picture Film Camera. The short film is adapted from Rainer Maria Rilke's poem, "The Panther." The voice-over in the film is the content of this poem.
“Incubus” (2021)
As the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, I shot this short film using a Bolex camera and 16mm black-and-white film. In addition to the filmed content, parts of the film include hand-drawn animations that I added directly onto the film. The music was also recorded in the film. This short film tells the story of a girl who, after a breakup, enters various dreams. The blurred line between reality and dreams leaves her feeling lost and confused.
“Sentiment” (2021)
As a prequel to "Incubus," this short film centers around a girl who, after a breakup, struggles with another personality within her. As the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, I still created this film using a Bolex camera and 16mm black-and-white film. This film did not process any post-production. What you see in the final cut is directly from the developed one roll of 16mm film.
“On My Way” (2024)
As the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, I produced this short film using a digital camera. The story is about a dream from a middle-aged, unsuccessful taxi driver facing a divorce. In his dream, he picks up his younger self, who is still in college and about to propose to his girlfriend. The age difference leads to a gap in ideologies between the two. After waking up from the dream, the taxi driver makes his own choices in facing life.
(Due to preparation for submission to film festivals, the film is currently unavailable for screening.)
“Moonlight” (2024)
As the line producer (执行制片), I completed the production of this short film with a total investment exceeding $120,000. The film was produced in collaboration with ARRI China and Aputure, using the ARRI Alexa 65 for filming. There are over 100 people as the cast and crew on the set.

“Five million” (2021)
As the producer, this short film spent over $20,000 budget for production during COVID-19. The story revolves around a wealthy man imprisoned in a luxurious villa. This is a surrealist film. Due to the plot requirements, I coordinated the work of various departments on set while also taking care of 15 pigs.
(Due to preparation for submission to film festivals, the film is currently unavailable for screening.)
“Merry Xmas” (2020)
This is my first work as a cinematographer. In a low-budget student production crew, we completed this short film in one night. The film describes a boy preparing a Christmas surprise for his best friend's sister. It is also a journey of self-redemption for the boy.
“Downward spiral” (2021)
As the cinematographer, I completed this suspense horror short film about academic pressure leading to mental health issues with a budget of $300.
(Due to preparation for submission to film festivals, the film is currently unavailable for screening.)
“Long way to go” (2021)
As a gaffer in this production, I helped my friend complete his BFA short film. During production, I experimented with underwater lighting and in-car lighting setups. The film tells the story of a middle-aged man facing a family crisis after cheating on his wife.
“Remediation” (2020)
As a gaffer, I worked on this short film about teacher sexual assault, exposing the darker side of society.
